Faraday Cage Applications
A Faraday cage is a network of electrical conductors that protects everything inside from electric fields. Faraday cage protects from lightning and electrical fields. It is also a preferred application where flammable and explosive materials are present, as it provides passive protection.
Thanks to the Faraday cage, high electric current coming from outside cannot enter inside. Also, the electric current inside does not come out. The name of the Faraday cage comes from the name of Michael Faraday, who found the Faraday cage.
In the simplest definition, Faraday’s cage does not let the electrical currents outside in. The symmetrical network of copper wire of the Faraday cage must never be broken. This is very important for the system to be operational. The copper mesh is connected to earth and electrical currents are conducted to earth. The more frequent the networking, the greater the protection. If there is a grounding error or disconnection in the system, the system works problematically and this is undesirable.
As Ekin Energy Inc., we support you with our expert staff in Faraday cage construction.
Some buildings and warehouses prefer the faraday cage system. This system is used especially in military structures, warehouses with special items, explosive and flammable materials.
